Gateway Thanks Founding Member Gregg Lindner for 18 Years of Service
With the end of the 2022 calendar year, the Gateway organization also saw the end of an era with the resignation of Board President and founding member Gregg Lindner at its most recent meeting in December. Born and raised in the area, Gregg’s commitment to and advocacy for the Milwaukee Gateway region over the years as a community member, business owner and property owner cannot be overstated.
From its inception over a conversation at a local diner, Gregg – along with a key group of fellow business owners, formed the Airport Gateway Business Association (AGBA) in June of 2005. Once formalized, Gregg and the AGBA then coordinated with a larger group of area businesses and the City of Milwaukee to formalize and initiate the creation of the Airport Gateway Business Improvement District in 2006. Known as AGBID, this new entity would work in coordination with the AGBA in an effort to both advocate at the local and regional level for airport area business and industry, while also directly funding and supplementing the physical improvement, safety and promotion of the Gateway area.
On behalf of the business and commercial property owners within the Gateway region, we would like to thank Gregg for his vision, commitment and passion for the area.
