Gateway Annual Event – 2022

Thank you to all those who attended this year’s Gateway to Milwaukee annual event, held at Stonebranch Farm on June 15, 2022. It was wonderful to welcome area businesses, property owners, partners and supporters to celebrate what it means to be The Gateway to Milwaukee

The [HOT] afternoon gathering featured a lunch menu filled with tasty offerings from area restaurants, including: Pita Palace, Al Bazzar Restaurant, Paradise Roastery, Monterrey Market and Urbal Tea.

Executive Director, Leif Otteson, provided guests with updates on Gateway initiatives, including the continued investment in the Safety & Security, Beatification, Promotion and Economic Development of the district. MMSD was also on hand sharing information on the exciting Wilson Park Creek Project

A special shout out to Mayor Johnson and Alderman Spiker for joining us and continuing to support and advocate for our area.

The event concluded with a tour of Stonebranch Farm, the newly renovated property owned by board member and business owner Bryan Simon. The beautifully landscaped grounds showcase all things ‘green,’ including a permeable patio, bioswales, retention pond, and so much more. The greenhouses located at the east end of the property have been transformed into a welcoming event space (which will be available for rent in the very near future).
