City Unveils Massive Solar Field on College Ave.

The largest solar energy project in Milwaukee’s history became operational just last month. The solar field is located on nine acres of a closed city-owned landfill near Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. The new installation has more than 7,000 solar panels producing 2.25 megawatts of electricity, which is enough to power approximately 500 homes.
